Power Washing Equipment -vs- Pressure Washing equipment -vs- Low Pressure Soft Washing

POWER WASHING - Power washing relies on high pressure, heated water for cleaning.  It usually uses less water than a standard garden hose would spray depending on the flow rate of the nozzle being used.  Most residential water supplies can supply 40-60 psi at a flow rate of 5-7 gpm.  Many power washers and pressure washers can be operated to use as little as 1 gpm and still provide excellent cleaning.  With water temperatures that can exceed 200 degrees accompanied by pressures exceeding 1000-4000 psi, this method of cleaning is excellent for removing oil and grease from surfaces.  As with any piece of power washing equipment, proper caution should be exercised as it can easily damage less durable surfaces such as shingles, siding, stucco, wood, and even metal.  Contact Apogee IRC Services (281) 372-6954 for reliable, high quality power washing services in Houston.

PRESSURE WASHING - Pressures Washing is often discussed synonymously with Power Washing.  But, as the term implies, this type of cleaning simply relies on a high pressure stream of water for cleaning surfaces.  Like Power Washing, this method usually expends less water than what would be sprayed from a garden hose.  It simply depends on the flow rate of the nozzle being used on the pressure washer.  With pressures that can exceed 1000-4000 psi, this method of cleaning is great for cleaning heavily soiled surfaces.  Just like power washing equipment,  pressure washing equipment can easily damage materials such as shingles, siding, stucco, and other less durable materials.  It can also remove paint from a vehicle if not used carefully.  Contact Apogee IRC Services (281) 372-6954 for reliable, high quality pressure washing services in Houston.

SOFT WASH - Refers to a low or non-pressure washing technique that relies on non-hazardous chemical solutions instead of high powered water jets for cleaning sensitive areas such as shingle or tile roofs.  Soft wash is also useful for cleaning brick, stucco, vinyl siding, painted wood, and other exterior features that would otherwise be damaged by traditional high pressure washing. That is why Apogee IRC Services utilizes the soft wash technique, to ensure your surfaces are thoroughly cleaned but sustain no damage.  The solutions we use are safe and extremely effective, and our technicians are skilled and well trained in their application.

Our low-pressure cleaning process is simple. The soft wash solutions we use are applied thoroughly to the intended surfaces and allowed sufficient dwell time to kill any mold, mildew, algae or fungus. Then, we rinse the surfaces thoroughly with fresh water at slightly more than garden hose pressure.  We take great care to protect surrounding plants and landscaping by wetting them down or covering them with plastic when necessary.  Our soft wash service is the safest, most effective way to clean delicate exterior surfaces.
